Job Overview

Join Reimagined Roots LLC, where we turn traditional lawns into stunning, functional landscapes rich with food, medicine, and native plants. As a Landscape Technician, you'll play a vital role in crafting breathtaking outdoor spaces while contributing to our mission of fostering ecological harmony and inspiring others to reconnect with nature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planting & Gardening: Install trees, shrubs, flowers, herbs, and vegetable gardens.

  • Hardscaping: Perform excavation, natural stonework, paver installation, and retaining wall construction.

  • Landscape Maintenance: Maintain edible landscapes, food forests, pollinator gardens, and medicinal herb beds.

  • Design and Build: Construct and install custom hardscaping and wooden structures such as patios, retaining walls, raised garden beds, fences, pergolas, chicken coops and compost bins based on project designs and client specifications.

  • General Landscaping: Weed, mulch, prune, and provide general plant care while maintaining clean and organized job sites.

  • Basic Carpentry Skills (Preferred):

  • Measuring and Cutting: Accurately measure and cut materials like wood, metal, or composites for outdoor features and framing and assembly.

  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and maintenance of wooden and structural elements in outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of hardscaping experience required.

  • Accreditation as an Organic Land Care Provider (AOLCP) certification, reflecting proficiency in organic and environmentally responsible landscaping practices, is a plus.

  • Positive attitude and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Passion for our mission and enthusiasm for hands-on work.

  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence to collaborate effectively on fast-paced job sites.

  • Valid driver's license for operating company vehicles.

  • Physical and mental fitness to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50 lbs repeatedly.

  • Comfort working in environments with bees, poison ivy, spiders, snakes, and thorns.
